Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2011 Blau is a blend of 50% Carinena, 25% Syrah and 25% Garnacha from vines aged between 25 and 40 years planted at 600 meters and aged in oak for four months. It has an attractive fresh red currant and raspberry-scented bouquet that is fresh and defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet candied entry. This is well-balanced with a crisp seam of acidity, while the finish is simple but clean and packed full of red fruits. This is a great price for a great little wine. Drink now-2015. ” (Feb 2013)

Dense yet lively, this expressive red shows morello cherry, floral, licorice and mineral flavors supported by light, firm tannins and fresh acidity. Mountain herb and smoke notes keep this from turning candied, but the sweet fruit lingers nicely.
