Ultimate Beverage Challenge 95 points - Beginning with a soft, floral bouquet before diving deeper into luscious and herbal aromas punctuated by toasted cedar and dark cherry. Elegantly composed on the palate with brown sugar and baked apricots creating an almost bread-like richness. An unyielding and slightly perfumed finish follows. (Apr 2014)

(MA92) This new 15 year old expression is more muscular (bottling at 46% and not chill filtering certainly helps), but there are trade-offs. Itís a bit closed on the nose (like a great Bordeaux wine thatís too young). I do enjoy the silky/oily texture, the bold resinous oak spice grip on the finish, and the rich nutty toffee, fig, black raspberry, chocolaty, chewy nougat throughout the palate.
