Its luscious fruit and soft texture make it a perfect wine to drink everyday on its own or to use as the basis for a high quality Sangria.
Vinous 90 points - Bright ruby-red. The red fruit nose shows Pinot-like energy, with white pepper and floral pastille nuances adding complexity. Silky and sweet on the palate, offering intense but edge-free raspberry and spicecake flavors. A wine of noteworthy elegance, especially for the money. Finishes sappy, floral and long, with lingering red fruit character and just a hint of tannins. This vibrant, emphatically fruity, pure Tempranillo was raised in a combination of large concrete and stainless steel tanks.  (Dec 2015)

Wine maker notes
Flaco, which means ”dude in English, is a wine made from Spain’s signature grape with character that belies its price. The head-pruned vineyards are in the Arganda district, southeast of Madrid, on clay over granite subsoil at 2,400 feet elevation. Madrid is, as yet, a largely unknown region hence its ability to deliver over-performing wines that represent incredible value in today’s market. The region’s southern Continental climate of hot days and cool nights insures a gradual, balanced maturation of the fruit. Usually harvested in mid-September, it is macerated, fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and cement tanks to emphasize the Tempranillo’s youthful purity of flavor. Its luscious fruit and soft texture make it a perfect wine to drink everyday on its own or to use as the basis for a high quality Sangria.

Food pairing
The fresh, pure character of this wine makes this an extremely versatile wine to pair with food. This wine pairs well with white meats like pork and chicken and flaky fish like hake, cod or flounder. This has the fruit and acidity to match with red meats, as well.
