Malt Advocate 84 points - Hot nose, plenty of rye spice - it is 100% rye - mint, bay leaf, sweet clove. Quite a kick, but there’s good flavor behind it; more spice, oak, and a firm sweetness. The finish is quite quick, just some dry rye in the back of the mouth, and gone. Better-behaved than most Hudson whiskeys I’ve had; hardly mellow, but enjoyable. Price per 375 ml.

Wine Enthusiast 95 points - Balanced, light and versatile, and likely a good foil for cocktails. Smoky fragrance with hints of caramel and dried apricots. The golden color, medium weight and flavors pleasantly evoke maple syrup and caramel at first, although zingy, oaky flavors soon follow. With ice, the wood becomes more pronounced. A nice, smooth and dry finish lingers but doesn’t overstay… - K.N. (Nov 2010)
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 90 points - Burnt grain and grassy notes fill the nose, while the palate is rich with tasty hints of marmalade and spice. This is an intense, lively and bold tasting whiskey. (Mar 2013)

Made with whole grain rye and it has a lovely floral and fruit-filled nose and a smooth palate with the fantastic rye edge that makes this many bartenders' spirit of choice. The hand-filled bottles are sealed with wax and numbered.
