It is a sophisticated elegant wine. Beautiful ruby red color, Intense cassis, strawberry flavors, with combined hints of black cherries and chocolate. Oak is not predominant but well combined and still present in the background in order to keep the fruit as a principal character of this wine. Solid and ripe tannins but with 2 years of aging already soft and friendly. An outstanding wine for bottle aging (5-10 years).
Wine Advocate 89 points - The 2011 Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon is quite showy and aromatic with unusual notes of flowers and a remarkable absence of pyrazines and green aromas. The fruit is black rather than red and the spices are also dark, while the medium-bodied palate shows seriousness but the slightly drying tannins and the moderate acidity detract from its pleasure. All in all, it’s a good Cabernet. Drink 2014-2017. (Jun 2014)

(WS88) There's a pleasant earthy undertone to the ripe cassis and plum skin notes that mingle with hints of spice, tobacco and dark humus, as grippy tannins set in on the finish.
