Powerful peat-smoke with just a hint of sea-water saltiness, fresh oysters, and a citrus sweetness.
A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth.
Huge, long, warming and peppery in the finish with an appetising sweetness.
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points - Amber hue. Minerals and seawater burst forth on the nose. A briny, Fino sherry-like whisky with hints of iodine on the palate. While there is a smack of butterscotch this speaks in more savory salty notes than anything. The finish is long and saline, with a faint trace of seaweed. (Mar 2013)

Moderately full-bodied, with silky texture and sweet malty notes upfront that develop into a full-fledged salty, peaty character through the finish. Outstanding balance.
